Good evening dear tutor
and classmates,
Dear Miguel,
congratulations you shared your video on time and it is complete. Although it
is short you gave a good explanation and it has the elements so that we all
understand the purpose of the article, I think you could have added more
information, however, it is very good.
If I am honest, the
subject of this article is a little difficult to understand and, in my case,,
I had to read it several times to better understand each hypothesis and related
contexts.
As I understood, there is
a close relationship between attention and memory in cognitive learning,
since as we know there are many investigations that affirm that attention,
both voluntary and involuntary, are what allows learning.
Learning allows something
to be transformed into memory, and memory, in turn, affects what we are going
to focus our attention on. This is why motivation plays an effective role
when it comes to learning meaningfully.
I recommend you take into
account the tutor's suggestions so that the video explains why the article
you chose is a case study and what elements are presented. I congratulate you
again.
Blessings.
Warmest regards,
Eliana Sofía Leal

Dear Miguel, Thank you for sharing the
information in your article. Your presentation is good and helps us to
understand the information because you speak clearly and pause when speaking;
you mention the process of acquiring a second language and the active
participation or the role that awareness would play in the process of
learning the L2.
In my opinion, before your selected article,
awareness is something we can define as part of the emotions and we do not
involve it in a process of learning and acquiring a second language. The
article you selected is very interesting and it was something I hadn't
stopped to think about when I was learning, today it combines the expression
of linguistic awareness or reflective, critical, and analytical learning.
Look for the definition of awareness and say
"Awareness is the ability of the human being to recognize himself, to
have knowledge and perception of his own existence and his environment",
i.e. when the individual is aware of his capabilities, needs and uses the
learning of the L2 to get involved in his life and his environment, he gives
more value and acquires learning with the question of a "why" and
"what for" and by giving answers to his questions he finds meaning
and this facilitates the learning process.
Thanks.

Dear classmate Miguel:
I consider that the topic you chose is very
interesting, because it talks about the role of conscience in the development
of a second language, which is vitally important, since it allows us to
establish how conscience can influence the learning of a second language;
Likewise, I consider that motivation plays a necessary role in obtaining and
managing new vocabulary.
Likewise, cognitive processes play a necessary
role, which allows human beings to possess learning skills according to their
mental processes.
Thanks for sharing the video.
Good night,
HEIDI
